The Sleeping Army is a good book. I would recommend it to years 4, 5 and 6. The book has a good structure and it is easy to follow the book is very interesting and it has a great way with words.
The illustrations are good and they keep the reader interested. I love the fact that it is set in the present but it has gods and ghouls. I think it could have a bit more work done on it. But it was really good.
I thought the book was good but very hard to follow because of the hard words, but the book was educational because it teaches you about the Viking gods.
It is a decent size book, not too long, not too short. Personally I would rate it higher than 7/10.
The main characters are called snot, Freya, Roskva and Alfie.
I like it how they kept Wodenism as the religion. For example Freya says, “Oh my gods!” and it’s 5000 aw.
It’s great reading it as a class. My cousin has read it as a class in another school and finished it.
The sleeping army is a great book and I recommend this book for children in year 4 and up. This book has very good pictures and has educational words.
I think that there could be some improvements, like the story could have more description, BUT I still liked it. I also thought that it was a bit rude because it says, “OH SHUT UP!” a lot.

@readingagency Year's 4 & 5 mainly. Year 6 can play too, but they are doing SATs at YCR time so it's harder for them. Classic and new books.about 3 days agofrom Twitter Web Clientin reply to readingagencyReplyRetweetFavorite

Has anyone finished the book yet? If so, what did you think? I really liked it.
